COLLECTION

IF YOU DON'T LOVE IT, SOMEONE ELSE WILL.

We all have clothes, shoes, and accessories that no longer fit the way it used to or that we no longer want. Likewise, we have household goods and furniture that we no longer use or need. Why not directly help families in your community by donating or consigning with us..

We have many ways for you to participate and support families. We collect items through:

  • Closet and House Raids

  • Resale and Consignment

  • Donations/Drop-offs

SCHEDULE A RAID

The Raids are our exclusive by-appointment only service where we help you get rid of stuff. It's a party! We invite your friends and we go through your closet or home providing an honest assessment of what items to keep/donate/consign. All of our Raids offer free organizing tips, wardrobe/design consultations, and styling.

ASSORTMENT

PUTTING OLD THINGS TO GOOD USE.

We are committed to offering an edited selection of only the highest quality, in-style, unique, and under-loved clothing and furniture we can find. We sort your donations by category, by size/similarity, and by project this allows us to adequately support all of our programs and families.

Items with significant resale value are presented in our pop-up shops for resale. The remaining 80% of inventory is used to help families in our programs and in Detroit and surrounding communities. If you decide to donate, proceeds from Raids are used to create financial viability for LoveWearYouLiveToo.org which helps families escape poverty and homelessness through fashion and design.

DISTRIBUTION

SUPPORT FAMILIES ON THEIR JOURNEY TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY.

Our organization has many ways we support families on their journey to self-sufficiency. We have a variety of programs that we distribute clothing and furniture to families in need:

  • Child Care: These families need clothing and shoes of all sizes, toys, household items, furniture and food.

  • Mainline for Moms: Mothers typically need clothing and shoes of all sizes, toys, household items, items for personal hygiene, furniture (especially beds) as well as formula and diapers.

  • Senior Living Spaces: Seniors generally need household items, furniture, books, smart devices as well as age appropriate clothing.

  • General: Our general requests or nominations are based on the family and their specific needs. Our typical donations are usually sufficient. Any specific item not already donated are often sourced or purchased.
